Art & Autism
A blog about the gifts and challenges of thinking differently.
After recently being diagnosed with autism, I realized that a great deal of how I make my art, select subject matter, and build my business is influenced by autism. This blog invites you into my studio, my life, and the way I think so you can see the world through my eyes.
This blog intends to serve as a bridge between the autistic and non-autistic worlds. For those on the spectrum, I invite you to use my stories as a mirror to reflect on your own life and experiences. We are all unique, and autism manifests in many traits and expressions. This blog is just one perspective among many. Your story will likely differ from mine, which is wonderful and valid.
For those not on the spectrum, may this blog open a window of understanding and encourage new ways of thinking about the world. It may help you see and understand those on the spectrum differently.
